JEWELRY 101

- Kara Alyse Jewelry is made using the lost wax casting process. Lost wax casting is an ancient technique used to make jewelry by pouring liquid metal alloy into a mold. Because of the casting and finishing processes involved slight variations are to be expected and celebrated. Even though multiple pieces may come from the same mold variations enhance the organic texture of the piece. Your item will always be of equal quality as the one pictured.

-Cabochon stones used in Kara Alyse Jewelry are all natural made stones. No cut will be alike and each gemstone will be unique to your piece.

-It is natural for brass and sterling silver jewelry to oxidize or acquire a darker color with frequent wear. All brass and sterling silver jewelry can be cleaned using a jewelry polishing cloth.

-Base metals such as brass react differently with everyone's skin. Sometimes skin will turn a slight shade of green. You can avoid this by not wearing brass in the shower or while your hands are wet. You can also paint the interior of rings with clear nail polish to create a barrier.
